Intro-

The learning communities program equips students for success by networking students with peers who have similar majors. this is done in order to give students the skills necessary to achieve academic excellence through the personal connection developed with the professors due to the small class room sizes, allowing the students to feel more comfortable during group discussions (because the students develop an inevitable bond with one another due to the fact that we have several classes with one another, and through classroom collaboration, which allows our work load to be slightly less vigorous because the professors work together to make certain assignments that are relevant to both courses.

Through learning communities student participation and accountability is increased. Students participate more openly and freely in groujp discussions due to the fact that they are not intimidated by one another because they have developed an overall bond as a class. Because of this bond students are more likely to hold each other accountable when the notice declines in a peer’s attendance of grades.
